1. Who we are

This website, northlanebd.com, is run by Northlane <BD> & Co (“Northlane”, “we”, “us”), a creative and performance studio based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

When you browse the site

We do not set cookies and we do not run analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts on this website.

Like almost every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, your browser and device type, and the page that linked you here. These logs are used to keep the site secure, block attacks and fix problems. They are not used to build a profile of you.

Fonts loaded from Google

The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser connects to Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which receive your IP address and basic browser information. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.

When you use the contact form

We collect what you type in: your name, email address, organisation, message, and — only if you choose to give them — your phone number, the type of organisation, an indicative budget and the services you are interested in. You also confirm that we may contact you about your enquiry.

The form sends your enquiry to our own mailbox by email. It is not saved in a database on the website.

To stop spam, the form uses a hidden field, a time check and a signed token. It also turns your IP address into a scrambled one-way code and keeps that code for up to one hour, so that no one can send more than five messages an hour. The code cannot be turned back into your IP address.

When you email, call or message us

We receive whatever you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message.

If you become a client

Personal information we handle while delivering a project — for example, access to ad accounts, analytics or customer lists — is covered by our written agreement with you, which takes priority over this policy for that work.

3. How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and to discuss, quote for and deliver our services.
• To keep the website and our systems secure and working properly.
• To keep business records and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we will not add you to a marketing mailing list without asking first.

If the EU or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and keeping the site secure, your consent where we ask for it, and our legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who run things for us, such as our web hosting and email provider, and only so they can provide that service.
• Google, through Google Fonts, as described above.
• Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
• Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Bangladesh. Where that happens, we choose providers that protect it appropriately.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the length of the engagement and as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep business records.
• Spam-protection codes from the contact form: up to one hour.
• Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, for security purposes.

6. How we protect it

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). It runs with strict security rules that block outside scripts and common attacks, the contact form is protected against spam and abuse, and passwords and keys are stored outside the public part of the server. Only the people who need it can access enquiries. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we work to protect yours and will act quickly if anything goes wrong.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw a consent you gave.

Write to info@northlanebd.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

This website and our services are for businesses and institutions, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Other websites

Our pages link to other websites, such as client sites and social media. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information; please read their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example, if we add analytics in future — we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
